I'm Going There Someday...

Well for all of you who don't know...I'm actully going there in a few days!!!!! I have decided to go through and receive my endowments! I've been thinking/praying/fasting about this for quite a while and a few weeks ago decided to just do it! I talked with my bishop and well things just fell into place! I'm going to go through the Mount Timpanogas temple on October 23rd! I'm extremely excited and am counting down the days (10)! I'm so grateful for the gospel and the the testimony that I have. I also cannot thank everyone enough for the examples that they have been to me and the difference they have made in my life!

Birthday Fun!!!

These are just some pictures of my birthday and the days leading up to it and after. Tiff, Mandi, and I went to the Brad Paisley concert! It was soo much fun to see him, Jimmy Wayne and Dierks Bentley! They were all so good! And I am grateful that I went to the concert instead of the BYU game so I wasn't mad all weekend! Ha ha Despite what some of my clients thought I should have done! One of them told me I wasn't a true fan because I didn't go, but if anyone knows me I am True Blue through and through!! If you don't believe me, you should see my station at work!! Anyways I was grateful to get my mind off of the game! On my birthday my roommates told me they had to meet with study groups and that we could do something later, which I was ok with. Well they threw me a surprise party instead! It was good! I was pretty surprised that they pulled it off! I was happy to see some of my friends from my other ward and other friends too! It was a lot of fun! The first picture is of our "Ethnic Night" group. We decided to start an ethnic night group where we go and eat a different countries food every week. It was really good! This was a Japanese place called Osaka. We got to eat in our own little room and the food was amazing!

The latest...

So I Think I am getting the hang of things! I was made the Manager of the Sport Clips that I have been working at almost a month ago. What does this mean?... I get to make the schedule, work more hours, hire/fire people, and i got a raise!!! It has taken some adjusting but its been good. The girls i work with are great and keep things running smoothly! We really have the best store ever!!

Between this and celebrating BYU's HUGE win over Oklahoma I have been really busy!!!! Now I have good and exciting things to watch and talk about at work!! My favorite quote about this came from Woody Page who is on Around the Horn. He said,"Max Hall called Oklahoma and all he said was...Who's Your Daddy?!?!" Ha ha I was laughing so hard! Woody is one of about 4 people who even like BYU on ESPN so its fun to see what he says!

I only have one picture and its of this lady at the Cowboy Days rodeo! Soo Funny

She actually climbed up there! It was so funny! I thought for sure she would fall when she was getting down! I don't know why she was up there but I had to take a picture of it!

Summertime

This summer has been crazy! The time has just flown by! It has been tons fo fun though with the 4th of July, Relay for Life, golf tournament and a concert! There is more but the pictures are just a highlight of what I have been up to! I have had tons of fun! I think my ward thinks i'm inactive though! Oh well I will start going regularly when school starts again. I'm so grateful to my family for letting me spend so much time with them. I love living somewhat close! I love having the family unity that we do and that we support and help each other. I couldn't have asked for a better family and looking to spend many more hours with everyone this summer!

New Clock

So the clock in our new apartment broke! Everytime the minute hand would get to the top it would just fall down. So I decided to use the space on my wall and make one. Here is the final result. It turned out pretty good seeing that I spent almost two hours at Roberts and couldn't figure out what I wanted because they didn't have clock motors. So I went to Quilted Bear on a whim and they just happened to have some. So I just cut out the numbers with my cricket and bought the letters at the Quilted Bear. I just hope our landlord doesn't miss the old clock too much because I took the hand off of that one and used it for this one.

March- Recent Happenings!!

So sorry about the slacking on the posts! There has been so much going on! There are a few posts and I decided to spilt it up since there are lots of pictures. Enjoy! There is a new arena football team in Orem and they play at the McKay events Center. This was their first game and a guy in my ward made the team so me being a genius and loving sports decided to go to the game for FHE!!! I was able to get free tickets for everyone!
Sport Clips is a sponsor of the team so we get season tickets!! There were two left over so Mandi and I were able to use them! I had no idea where they were so I asked an usher. which in turn told us that we were on the FLOOR!!!!! 5th Row to be exact! Yeah it was awesome!

We were so close you could talk to the players and hear what they were saying to each other. They played the Wyoming Calvery, who won, but it was a great game!
Mandi and I at half time by the field.

Looking down the field.
Mandi and I went to a luau that they were having at BYU. One of the elders that Mandi served with was dancing in it. It was pretty cool!
Add ImageThis is Mandi and Dan after the performance!

Taking a Break

Since I don't get an official spring break and needed to take two days off of work I decided to head to Wyoming! I stopped in Evanston and Moutain View on my way to good ol' Rock Springs! I had a lot of fun! It was good to go back and see people I knew when I went there. Some of the guys are even still the same since they went on missions! We went ice skating. I didn't skate since I have bad luck and knew if I fell my back would be hurting!
This is after Jess sprained her ankle and is being helped off the ice.

Us waiting for the others to finish skating.
Just hanging out.

We hiked up to a waterfall. I had never been there in the two years that I was there or even heard of it. It was quite the hike but was short since the truks made it most of the way! It was cool to see a waterfall that close.

This was the bottom of the Fall. This was a much needed break and I am so grateful I was able to see friends and family along the way!

March- Korean Food and Nicklecade

I have never had Korean food so Mandi decided that I needed to try it. For those who don't know my roommate, Mandi, served her mission in South Korea. We hang out all of the time with some of the elders that she serves and we are going to be living with a Korean. Needless to say, I have picked up sime Korean so I can understand somethings they say. We ate at Sam Hawk in Provo. Most of it was pretty good. There was some stuff that I didn't like so much, but I tried everything.
These are some of the guys we hang out with. Three of the four served in Korea. They are great!

Mandi and I

After Korean food we decided to go the Nickelcade. I had never been ther but it was so much fun!!! It didn't cost that much either! Most games only cost a nickel!! Brings back good memories!

This is Kylie and Dan playing Dance Dance Revolution.

Mandi and Tyler shootin hoops!

This was us cheering on Logan who was playing Super Mario Brothers!

We won enough tickets for everyone to get a slap bracelet! So much fun!

Valentine's Week

On Tuesday my roommate Mandi, my old roommate Alex, and I went to the Draper Temple open house. It was amazing! I highly recommend going to see it, if you can! The celestial room was breath taking as you walk in. This is a picture in the church next to the temple where they had refreshments. I just love this picture. Julie and Jeff came down this weekend for Braxton's birthday! It was so much fun ti see them and spend time with the kids. I watched the kids while they went to the movie for Valentine's day. It was tons of fun!! They are so cute!

They are sooo cute!! This is how they were watching the movie!
